Castner Glacier

Taken on the 2nd of July, 2023 this was truly a perfect day for photography

From the overcast skies allowing for even lighting, to the fact that there were almost no mosquitoes bothering both me and Howie, this was a great hike. We started off decently early in the day taking the drive out to the unmarked trail head. When we arrived, we parked and took our time getting to the now collapsed ice cave. This was my first time here, I would love to visit sometime in the winter as I am certain that the backdrop of this area would make for some amazing aurora shots.

For these photos, they were taken with a Pentax 645 with the 35mm f/3.5 lens and Kodak Gold as the film stock. Additionally some shots were taken on a Hasselblad H1 with a 80mm f/2.8 lens and Leaf Aptus 75 33MP digital back.
